French

Our objective is to enable students of all abilities to develop their French language skills to their full potential, equipping them with the knowledge to communicate in a variety of contexts with confidence.

French is a fun and rewarding subject that opens up exciting opportunities for the future. At Liberty Academy, students develop useful language skills that can lead to a wide range of future career paths, travel opportunities and further study. 

Our lessons focus on the four main skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing, helping students to feel confident in all aspects of language learning. Students also improve their communication, problem-solving and critical thinking skills in language lessons which supports success across the curriculum. 

As part of their studies, students develop an understanding of French-speaking cultures around the world, deepening their cultural awareness and making them more open-minded learners.

At Key Stage 4, students will follow the AQA GCSE in French.
